Dazi: A contraction of Democratic Sozialist, the political movement that transformed the United States into the United Sozialist States of America (USSA). Members and supporters are commonly referred to as Dazis.

United Sozialist States of America (USSA):Following the 2020 election, Democratic Sozialists (Dazis) secured a controlling majority of the federal government. They quickly consolidated power, permanently secured the vote, and enacted sweeping reforms. Their first act was to confiscate and destroy all firearms in the country, including their own. Next, they successfully defunded the police and military out of existence. With no one left to enforce the law, criminal justice ceased to exist. Having completed their transformation of the nation, the Dazis rebranded the United States as the United Sozialist States of America (USSA).

Prezident: The title of President of the United States of America became Prezident of the United Sozialist States of America when the nation was renamed.

Sick Clicks: A burgeoning economy built on gruesome content. Uninhibited sociopaths film themselves harassing, humiliating, torturing, and even murdering innocent, peaceful citizens, then upload the footage to social media platforms where outrage is transformed into views, fame, and fortune.

RoadKill: A subculture in the Sick Clicks economy. What began as a gruesome “game” of running down pedestrians with ordinary cars and trucks evolved into an organized competition, complete with online leaderboards and heavily modified killing machines. Its participants, called RoadKillers, earned points for their victims and uploaded their exploits in pursuit of views, fame, and fortune.

America’s Girl: After nearly fifty years of oppression, videos began appearing online of a mysterious woman wearing a homemade stars-and-stripes mask, brutalizing RoadKillers the way they brutalized so many innocent, peaceful citizens. Public sentiment exploded, and her supporters quickly gave her a name: America’s Girl.

Corporate Special Forces: When the police and military were disbanded, Big Industry (Big Education, Big Seafood, Big Entertainment, and so on) needed a means to enforce its will and protect its interests. Thus, Corporate Special Forces were born, each unique to its respective industry. Among them are the Truant Officers, Seamen, the Grips, and countless others.

Unanimous Medical Association (UMA): Identified by two crossed syringes within a laurel wreath, the UMA establishes the medical mandates of the USSA and coordinates their enforcement.

Orderlies: The enforcement arm of the Unanimous Medical Association (UMA). Members of the Honorable Order of Orderlies (HOO) strictly enforce the medical mandates of the USSA.

TP (The Prophet): Better known simply as TP, the alien pilot whose fatal crash into the Moon captivated the world during the first half of the century. Thirty years later, he reappeared as a human, astonishing audiences with detailed memories of his previous lives and of the advanced civilization from which he came. Possessing knowledge the people of Earth simply do not have, he feels a moral obligation to share whatever wisdom he can in hopes of helping humanity.
